Bicarbonate of sodium has a wide range of application. Most of all bicarbonate of sodium is used in the food, chemical, medical, pharmaceutical, easy industries and by production of compound feeds.

In the food industry – in bread baking, production of confectionery, preparation of drinks.
In chemical industry – for production of dyes, polyfoams and other organic products, fluoric reactants, goods of household chemicals, fillers in fire extinguishers.
In light industry – in production of plantar rubbers and artificial skin, tanning production (a tanning and neutralization of skin), the textile industry (finishing of silk and cotton fabrics).
In medical and pharmaceutical industry – in production of medicines, dietary supplements (DS), a hemodialysis.

At the same time about 50% of bicarbonate of sodium go for household consumption: as a baking powder for house pastries and at production of confectionery, as a cleaner, in the medical purposes (expectorant means, heartburn medicine) and in many other purposes.
