In the glass, this wine is an elegant ruby-red. It has a very attractive and expressive nose with notes of redcurrant and peppery spices. Soft and balanced on the palate with ripe tannins and good acidity, the concentrated red fruit and sweet spice flavours linger on the finish.
The 2018 vintage was characterised by exceptional weather conditions. Flowering took place in the best possible conditions, with a historically abundant grape output. A few rainy episodes at the end of the spring complicated things a little which brought cases of mildew, but the good weather then settled down until harvest, which took place under idyllic conditions.
