This wine is an intense purple colour with aromas of juicy red fruits. On the palate, it is well-balanced with grippy tannins.
A wet and mild spring encouraged early budbreak in the vineyards. This was followed by unusually cold periods in both May and June which slowed flowering. Summer was ideal with high temperatures and sunshine hours right through until the end of September.
