Intense cherry red in colour. On the nose pronounced aromas of wild berries are married with smoky notes and hints of vanilla. Full bodied on the palate, with firm but ripe tannins and a refreshing acidity which carries the concentrated flavours onto the lingering finish.
The 2018 vintage in Ribera del Duero began with a rainy winter and spring, which replenished water reserves in the soil and sustained the vines through the growing season. Temperatures were lower than average during the summer and the grapes underwent a slow ripening process. The harvest took place from mid September through to October and the grapes harvested were of excellent quality with rich aromatics and well balanced acidity.
