This is a fresh, fruity and elegant Dolcetto with red berries aromas on the nose. The palate opens to a multitude of flavours of red cherries and berries. The concentration of flavours is balanced by the refreshing acidity that are evident on the long persistent finish.
The 2018 vintage started with a long winter that saw plenty of rainfall, which restored water reserves in the soil. Winter temperatures were lower than in recent years, leading to a gradual, slow resumption of the vegetative stages. Spring continued in a similar way, with frequent rainfalls and mild temperatures, suggesting that the vintage would develop along “classic” lines. Flowering and fruit set took place regularly and in optimal weather conditions. Development was gradual during the summer, with temperatures rising considerably from mid-July onwards, and a stable and dry end to the season helped grapes to ripen fully by harvest time.
