Dominique's Fleurie exhibits the floral perfumes that are characteristic of this Beaujolais Cru. From old bush-vines, aged up to 70 years, it has layers of perfumed ripe fruit and balanced structure and is a charming example of this appellation.
This wine has fragrant violet and red fruit aromas on the nose and a palate bursting with bright fruit and supple tannins. It is an elegant wine with a long, persistent finish.
The 2018 growing season started with a wet and cool spring which built up water reserves in the soil. This was followed by dry, hot weather in the summer right through to harvest. The fruit was picked at an ideal ripeness.
