St Marcellin La Maison du Fromage | 80g

2 reviews

Saint-Marcellin is named after its town of origin, a village in Isère at the foot of the Vercors. Originally, this cheese was made with goat's milk, but since the 18th century, a transition was made towards a production with 100% cow's milk.

Founded in 1942, the Saint-Just-de-Claix cheese dairy now has 145 employees and collects milk from 77 dairy farms in the Vercors and Chartreuse regions, including 51 PGI milk farms and 5 organic milk farms. Since its creation, in order to maintain authentic products, many stages of production still call upon the know-how of Master Cheesemakers who mold, salt and turn the cheeses by hand.

Ingredients:

Raw cow's milk, lactic ferments (milk), salt, rennet.
